Finding a reliable cleanser can be a long and frustrating journey, especially for those with sensitive or reactive skin. I rarely write reviews unless I can genuinely stand behind a product, and after five years of use, I can confidently say the Kapha/Matra Cleansing Duo has been a game-changer.

My skin tends to be temperamental—something as simple as a change in water can lead to blotchiness or breakouts. Over the years, I’ve tested other products, but I always return to this duo because it simply works. Whether I’m dealing with dehydration from long-haul flights, intense humidity in the tropics, or the dry mountain air, this cleanser keeps my skin balanced, eliminating the need for recovery periods.

The packaging isn’t the most travel-friendly, but I’ve solved this by decanting the products into silicone tubes and storing them in a Stasher bag—problem solved.

If you’re on the fence, I’d encourage you to give this cleansing duo a try. It’s been a staple in my routine for years, and I continue to be impressed.

This product is great for cleansing my face in the morning! I've been struggling with balancing my skin's natural PH and within a week I have noticed my redness and acne are gone. This allows me to cleanse my skin without stripping it and causing it to dry out.

Silk Premier cleansing oil leaves my face clear of the adult acne I have had for 30 years without making my skin dry or flakey like all of the acne solutions I have tried. I am so glad I found this product, and the smell is so nice too. I use this with a wrung out warm natural fibre cloth.

Excellent cleanser to remove makeup and everyday pollution followed by Mantra cleanser which deep cleans my face ‘!

This is my favorite cleansing oil! I use it every night and im so glad I found it! I was using a different one before but this is much better and my skin loves it!

I am new to the M.S Skincare line and am very impressed with all the products I have tried. Silk Premier Cleansing Oil has a delightful rose scent and feels soothing on my skin. I have tried many cleansing oils and this is one of the few that removes all my make-up and does not burn my eyes. I use Silk morning and night, along with Mogul and Sofia and I am finding my usually dry skin much more hydrated and soft. I just ordered Jaipur and Mantra and cannot wait to try them!

This is the most luxurious cleanser I’ve tried yet. Silk smells amazing and using it with Mantra as a 2 step cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean and really soft.

I never thought I could love a gel cleanser and an oil cleanser as much as I do these products! The gel cleanser is so gentle! No drying of the skin and it gets my face clean and leaves it so soft. But the magic that happens when you double cleanse with the oil cleanser...mind blown! I’m really glad I found this brand! Much love!

This cleanser has completely changed the health and appearance of my face. My breakouts have disappeared and my skin is hydrated. I was a bit hesitant due to the price, but you don’t need much per wash and it’s totally worth it. Purchased originally through and FFF edit sale.

I use this and the Mantra Skin perfecting cleanser. I use this first to remove make up and then the Mantra cleaner to further clean my skin. Love this oil cleanser. Works well and doesnt dry out my skin.

My skin always looks its absolute best when using this product daily. I also notice major eyelash and brow growth too... I am assuming it is the castor oil?

This is my first time using a cleansing oil, so I'm discovering whether I like it. I use it in combination with the cleanser. I don't wear makeup, but do live in NYC, so there's plenty of environmental dirt. I think this will prove to be a good regimen.

These skin cleansing products are awesome , my face feels so soft and firm after my regimen. I love both of these cleansers.

Great for makeup and eye makeup removal without rubbing your eyelashes off. I put it on my face and neck,wipe with a gentle face wipe, and follow with witch hazel toner. I follow with M&S moisturizer. My skin is smooth and soft after. When are you guys going to have an eye cream!?

This product was such a game changer for me - it removes (every drop) of make up, leaves my skin moisturized, and smells AMAZING. I absolutely love it.

Was a little hesitant to try a cleansing oil as I'm prone to break outs, but this product is incredible! No breakouts, just smooth, fully moisturized skin that stays hydrated even in harsh NYC winters. I use this product to remove makeup, followed by the Mantra cleanser. Love that it's vegan and natural, so no need to worry about harsh chemicals on my sensitive skin! Just all around amazing!

Two pumps, rub it on, washcloth it off, and skin feels clean but not stripped. I use eye makeup remover first, so as not to tug at the tender skin around the eye. This oil feels and smells and works very well.

I’ve longed for this cleanser for some time, hearing continued great feedback on social media. But I get a lot of facial cleansers in my monthly beauty boxes, and I have a bit of product overload. However, M&S recently had a sale that was too good to pass up. This cleanser is as decadent and effective as I could have hoped for. It lathers nicely, cleans all my makeup off, and leaves my face very soft. It also works well when paired with their sandalwood cleansing powder, adding lather to make that product easier to apply, while gaining the mild exfoliation benefit from the cleansing powder. This cleanser’s scent is mild, and very relaxing. This is going in my favorites pile, and I’ll definitely repurchase!

I use this cleansing oil every evening to remove my makeup at the end of the day. Works great, even on removing my mascara. Gentle and effective, it leaves my skin clean and hydrated. Love this stuff!
