Cleansing is where most routines are quietly disrupted.

Too aggressive, and the skin becomes reactive. Too superficial, and buildup remains.

Silk was formulated to do the job properly.

It is a true oil cleanse. It does not foam or emulsify. It binds to makeup, sunscreen, and daily buildup and removes it without disturbing the skin barrier.

Used with water, it lifts everything away and leaves the skin clean, soft, and balanced.

We do not rely on foaming agents.

We do not add unnecessary emulsifiers.

We do not strip the skin to make it feel clean.

This is cleansing, done correctly.

What is an oil cleanser?

An oil cleanser is a cleanser that uses oils to dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and excess sebum without stripping the skin.

Silk Cleansing Oil is a traditional, non-foaming version. It does not emulsify or turn milky. It remains an oil so it can fully bind to buildup before being removed.

Oil cleansing has been used for generations because it works with the skin, not against it.

Massaged into dry skin and removed with water, it leaves the skin clean, soft, and balanced..

Why doesn’t Silk Cleansing Oil emulsify?

Some oil cleansers emulsify because they contain added emulsifiers. Silk does not.

It is designed to stay an oil so it can properly dissolve makeup, sunscreen, and excess oil before being removed.

Use a warm, damp cloth or cotton pads soaked in water to lift everything away. When removed fully, it should not feel greasy or leave residue behind.

This is a more traditional method of cleansing.

Can I use an oil cleanser if I have acne-prone skin?

In many cases, yes.

Breakout-prone skin often needs to be cleansed thoroughly without being stripped. Silk was formulated with that in mind.
